The big world of Kindergarten

Brit and I had an appointment to see Dr. Bryan. It wasn’t because of the big boo-boo on the left side of her face after face planting in the dirt (trying to keep up with her big brothers on the bicycle track). It was for those dreaded, mandatory pre-kindergarten shots.

Every kid knows what the word "SHOTS" mean. This tough little girl tried to fight back tears all day. She knew she was in for it! Poor thing.

As always, her wonderful Daddy shows up for support
The inevitable is about to happen and she knows it

Whatever toughness was left in her, comes wailing out!

When B.T.C. showed up, he had a surprise for his little girl

We head to COLD STONE to feed away the tears!


I’ll have to admit, I’m not ready for my girl to head off into the big world of kindergarten (urgh!) I’d like to have her all to myself for another year or two or ten!

Who in the world takes pix at the doctors office. LOL But it was fun looking at them. We all squirmed a little at the pic of the needle. Ouch! Love you Brit! you are so lucky to have great parents!

The boys (Wes and Dawson) are off to scout camp.  Mr. B.T.C and Nathan just left on a hunting trip to Utah.  That leaves me and the girls home alone.  Get ready to shop until you drop girls! BACK TO SCHOOL 2012.

Woa, I'm already school shopping?!  How is it possible that the summer is gone and school is upon us already?   I may not be ready for the kids to go back to school quite yet (I want more vacation time ) but they are.   Now that the kids have met their teachers (we got lucky, everyone is thrilled with their teacher choice) and have reacquainted themselves with friends they are ready to begin a new school year.  Britley is a THIRD grader this year. She is extremely bright and ready to get to work. Breeley is a FIFTH grader.   I can't believe it!  She makes friends easily and is happy to meet her "new friends". Dawson is in 8th grade.   This will be his last year of Jr. High!  Oh boy- I'm sure he will make it a memorable year (His poor teachers).  He happens to be the "funny kid" in school.  We've gotten to know all his teachers a little more than we would have liked to.
