The kids are with us even when their not

My Nephew pleaded with his mother to let my THREE boys stay for a sleepover since there would be no school. (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) She agreed! How nice. I mean after having five kids, when one of 'em leave you realize how much quieter it gets around the house. Can you imagine what three absent children would produce? Within minutes I got a call from my mother-n-law and held my breath. Could she be asking for my TWO daughters to stay over night? I mean, there is no school tomorrow, Right? Sure enough! She was on her way and the girls were excited as ever and had already packed. (Did I mention that I love Martin Luther King Jr. Day?) Within minutes the house was totally quiet and the sun was still shining. A Miracle Indeed! Did I call my husband, knowing he would be home from work early with this news? Uh, No! I was totally selfish and spent my alone time… TAKING A BUBBLE BATH PAINTING MY TOENAILS (way overdue) READING EDITING PHOTOS And I just allowed my hubby to be pleasantly

After spending several hours past midnight in a nearby ER room, suffering from a UTI AGAIN and feeling pain that was so awful I can only describe it as “bone-chilling” I was extremely uncomfortable and exhausted. When I returned home I took a dose of medication and tried to get some sleep, despite the constant trips to the bathroom, and what seemed to be hours of nausea. By morning, word had quickly spread that MOM WASN'T FEELING WELL and my darling troops went right to work. What a surprise when I walked out of my bedroom to find that… My oldest son Nathan had made pancakes for the family The girls were in the middle of washing the breakfast dishes Wesley had already folded all the laundry And my wonderful husband had just returned from getting my prescriptions filled. After a full day of my family serving me, I feel so taken care of and so loved that I believe my heart has tripled in size. How lucky I am to have 6 special someone’s in my life.
