BABY + CRAIG HOME = LOTS OF FUN

I listened to some great advice from a friend while learning photography who said, "Take at least one photo a day and you'll be surprised how much you learn." I've practiced this for a few months now and boy is she right. It's been amazing! I've learned so much. I always have my camera with me, ready to shoot my "photo of the day" and in doing so I've surprised myself with some pretty creative shots. It was easy to get my shot in for the day after watching this little guy. His mom asked if I could watch him while she was out of town and of course I said yes! We have thoroughly enjoyed having a baby in the house again. The only bad thing is when his momma gets back she might have to de-craig-atize him. He's been given lots of attention, maybe too much! Hopefully we haven't spoiled him rotten. I introduced him to the train and we've been best buds ever since. So... for all of you who are learning photography, let me pass on this great

The big world of Kindergarten

Brit and I had an appointment to see Dr. Bryan. It wasn’t because of the big boo-boo on the left side of her face after face planting in the dirt (trying to keep up with her big brothers on the bicycle track). It was for those dreaded, mandatory pre-kindergarten shots. Every kid knows what the word " SHOTS" mean. This tough little girl tried to fight back tears all day. She knew she was in for it! Poor thing. Her favorite corner of the Doctor's Office A mouth full of candy will take her mind off what's about to take place Her eyes tell me she's getting a bit nervous As always, her wonderful Daddy shows up for support The inevitable is about to happen and she knows it I hate this shot (no pun intended) Whatever toughness was left in her, comes wailing out! "Victory Garden"

The ground is starting to warm up and the days are growing longer. All signs that it’s time to have another go at planting a garden. Yes, I said another . Last year was NOT a “victory garden”. I’m relying on my own ability to water the garden and not the fancy drip system that over watered and killed off last years plants. I’m ready for some home-grown flavor! I’m also ready for the veggies to remain fresh and stored right on the vine instead of crammed into my fridge where they go bad in just a few short days. For those of you not planting a garden this year, don’t feel bad! I’ll share (if all goes well). These tender plants compete with everything else in the garden for water, nutrients, attention, light and space. Sounds a lot like LIFE doesn’t it? For those of you who don't delight in physical work, or the soulfulness of planning a garden, ( blah, blah,...I know) no need to give yourself yet another kicking. A ride with friends on Roosevelt Lake

We launched our boat for the first time this season in the cool waters of Roosevelt Lake Saturday afternoon. The warm weather and large, scenic desert lake seemed like perfect conditions to start working on the ol' tan. You know every girl wants that tanned skin to make her eyes shine brighter and her teeth to look whiter! As of now I have the opposite, white skin and tanned teeth and the summer months are fast approaching. YIKES! The guys on the boat clearly had another picture running through there minds as they grabbed the bindings, ropes, handles, vests and wakeboards. It was pure enjoyment for them as they plunged into the 69 degree cold water and began strapping their feet into the boots attached to their wakeboards. Not such a groovy idea to the girls on board who screamed each time that cold water sprayed the boat, it was freaking cold! Not the ideal time for us to start wakeboarding. Happy 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15th Anniversary B.T.C. Without further delay... let me fill you in on our vacation celebration . We flew to California Thursday afternoon... checked into our room... stepped outside and this was our view... I was beyond thrilled! There is something so inviting about this place. It speaks peace to my soul. I'd like to stay F O R E V E R! We splurged and got some fabulous pampering at the Montage Resort Spa. This served as a reminder that it’s important to pamper oneself. relaxing by the pool and taking in the view. My absolute favorite...viewing the sunset from the balcony of our room. Wow! what a great anniversary... right?!? When we returned home he surprised me with another little "get away"(that's another post... at a later time) FIFTEEN years... and I still have a crush on him! Happy Anniversary Baby! I look forward to many more years with you.
