JUST ME AND THE GIRLS

Image
The boys (Wes and Dawson) are off to scout camp.  Mr. B.T.C and Nathan just left on a hunting trip to Utah.  That leaves me and the girls home alone.  Get ready to shop until you drop girls! This is gonna be a fun week! Late night movies, pizza, chocolate cake and popcorn.  Afternoon and late night swimming.  Shopping bags galore. New shades of lipstick.  Yep, that pretty much sums up the week.  Now hide the Nordi bags girls Mr. B.T.C is coming home:)

chores by choice

In my experience, getting a child to do the assigned chores they're responsible for can be challenging. The worst is when the children get bored with their routine schedule that you have worked so hard on or maybe it's listening to them complain or perhaps even worse than that is when they don't even do the chore in the first place, leaving you angry or just down right frustrated. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Well, I've come up with a plan that eliminates the anger, frustration, and complaining, as a matter of fact, it is replaced with praise, gratitude , and appreciation. I understand that this may not be appealing to some of you once you've read through this and realize that the organizer of the home (I'm assuming that would be MOM) is left to do what no one else wants to do. But, this really seems to work around our home. OK , enough babbling. Let me pass on a simpler way to get your children to pitch in. First, I went to Staples and bought everything...

hot mamma...

Yep, that’s me. I don’t mean physically. Trust me. I’ve had f-i-v-e kids. Enough said? I’m talkin about the kind of hot that leaves this mamma feeling that my toes could literally melt away, perhaps even my entire body within seconds of my bare feet hitting the pavers. I expect hot weather around here. But jeez, this sizzling heat wave is blazing. During these scorching, hot- hot -hot- days of summer (have I made my point?) in Arizona, people need to find things to keep them busy during their summer break. Here at the Craig home we just get the person out of the heat and to a cooler place whenever possible. Now, imagine with me. An ocean view, breathing in that cool, misty air and feeling that slight, wet breeze from the Ocean. Well now, for me, it's settled. Im outta here! I do believe I hear the faint voice of California calling my name. I mean, seriously, who needs a vacation worse than the one who just had one?
