dancing divas

Cameras are forbidden on performance night but during dance recital practice (a couple days prior to the show) you're allowed to bring your camera. Sooo boy did I ever bring my camera! I wanted to capture a few shots of the girls during their performance. These two have really enjoyed their jazz class this year, and I've enjoyed watching them. Did I ever mention that I love having girls?

Our Birthday Boy turned twelve! I can't even believe it. This boy has grown up way to fast. Besides the fact that he is so handsome, smart, and athletic, what we love most about Wesley is that he is self motivated. I think this kid could get throught life without any parenting. He knows what needs to be done and he just does it. I would have had 10 kids, had they all turned out like this. He makes my job so pleasant and easy. Throughout his life he has shown such an amazing ability to love and serve. This quality leaves him more than ready to begin his priesthood service. H a p p y B i rt h d a y ! We love You.

Her brothers protect her. Her friends love playdates with her. Her giggles and smiles light up the world. Her personality speaks volumes in these photos Happy Birthday GOLDIE! We Love You.

PSSST... an organizing tip

Are you one of those MOMS that never throw away crayons? I’m just curious. I'll admit, I was once like that. My crayon box was usually a recycled wet wipe container that was overflowing with bits and pieces of crayons that had the paper half peeled off. I scored if I could occasionally add a NEW crayon that was usually taken from a restaurant. WHY ? I still ask myself. I mean, a box of crayons cost a couple bucks. R I G H T ? So why not replace it every couple months? I'm a fairly simple person. I don’t like clutter and I like to organize my “STUFF” so I can get to it when I need it. I figured out a solution to the crayola clutter and want to pass it on. I picked up these photo boxes at Office Max. They cost about $14.00. Each box holds 6 separate containers inside. I have three boxes. One for crafts : Crayons, twistables, markers, pens, scissors, etc. One for games : matching game, card games, puzzles, etc. (yeah, no more boxes that get torn up.) One for educational : hand-ma

Nature's beauty

Watching my garden go from this... to this... has been a delight to the eye. Well... mine anyway. It really has been a rewarding experience for me and all of my little garden helpers. It all started as I partnered with my gardening sister and listened as she taught me a thing or two. I began this process with this burst of enthusiasm and have pretty much stayed that way. I've learned that I love gardening. I love taking a little time in the early morning hours to soak up a little peace and serenity as I smell the many different things growing in the soil . I guess I can say... I’m a gardener . Okay, that may be a bit overstated. Okay, maybe a lot overstated with this being my first year and all, but hey, look what the harvest has brought. A f eW things my garden experience has taught me... * You got to get a little dirty before you get any results . * Buy garden gloves ( the dirty fingernails, green skin and pokes from tiny little thorns... irritate me) * I will NEVER take

The wedding brought lots of family to town and I loved every minute of it. My sister asked me to take a few pics of her kids and I was honored. My nieces and nephew are simply adorable.
