THANKSGIVING 2012
We spent Thanksgiving with Mr. B.T.C's side of the family. They planned a family reunion over the Holidays and invited family from all over to join in on the fun.
We started the day off getting reacquainted with relatives we haven't seen in a very long time.
Some give hugs.
Some show their love in other ways.
You can count on good food when you mingle with this family.
This is Uncle Mell. He is one of my favorites. He went right to work making bread, from scratch! It was awesome watching this process.
We even had a pit BBQ. Ray roasted one of his very own pigs.
The unrevealing of the pig didn't seem to bother the guys much but I struggled a bit. Well maybe more than a bit. I think I am now a vegetarian!
Your stomach may get a little whoosey after this next photo. Sorry!
Mr. B.T.C got one of the better jobs...Carving the turkey.
Nathan pitched in and helped Uncle Jerry make a delicious fruit salad.
The food was amazing! Everyone devoured the ice cream that came out of this little machine.
We gave thanks for this amazing feast.
The adults were ready for some relax time.
My girls were in animal heaven.
They found a smelly friend or two.
The kids weren't ready to relax they were ready for the activities to begin.
They had train rides...
and hay rides...
and horse back riding...
and pony rides.
I don't think Breeley ever let this pony out of her sight.
The men taped dollar bills to a bull and challenged the 13 plus year olds.
Some even got a little brave and tried to ride the bull. They weren't successful!
We taped dollar bills to a goat for the 13yrs. and under crowd.
This was a hoot to watch!
They greased a pig and challenged the kids to catch it. They too were unsuccessful!
The younger kids tried to catch baby chicks to take home. I'm glad I don't have any "younger" kids. I wouldn't want to be taking any of these home with me.
The kids even tried to ride sheep.
This picture cracks me up. You gotta wonder what these sheep are thinking?!
Uncle Mel spent a little time going over our genealogy.
We had a great time being with Mr. B.T.C's side of the family! Thank you to all who worked so hard to make it a memorable experience.
