Nathan's Science project 2010
Instructions: create a simple machine that completes a task.

I thank my lucky stars I'm not a single parent. When this child brought me his idea sketched out on paper I looked at it and thought...yeah right?!? but said, "Great idea!"

When his Dad looked at this same sheet of paper He said, "No problem... let's do it!"

So the two of them went to work

I have a list of science projects that my Dad Friend noted from his son's 6th grade science fair in DC. They are great, cheap and easy. Plus I added more ideas I found on the web for same: cheap, easy and great.

This is amazing Lori - does Branden have this kind of tools in his shop? I wish there was a class my boys could take how to make things like this - your boys are lucky that they have a Dad that knows how to do this! - Andi

The boys (Wes and Dawson) are off to scout camp.  Mr. B.T.C and Nathan just left on a hunting trip to Utah.  That leaves me and the girls home alone.  Get ready to shop until you drop girls! BACK TO SCHOOL 2012.

Woa, I'm already school shopping?!  How is it possible that the summer is gone and school is upon us already?   I may not be ready for the kids to go back to school quite yet (I want more vacation time ) but they are.   Now that the kids have met their teachers (we got lucky, everyone is thrilled with their teacher choice) and have reacquainted themselves with friends they are ready to begin a new school year.  Britley is a THIRD grader this year. She is extremely bright and ready to get to work. Breeley is a FIFTH grader.   I can't believe it!  She makes friends easily and is happy to meet her "new friends". Dawson is in 8th grade.   This will be his last year of Jr. High!  Oh boy- I'm sure he will make it a memorable year (His poor teachers).  He happens to be the "funny kid" in school.  We've gotten to know all his teachers a little more than we would have liked to.
