Bree's special day

Turning eight is a "big deal" because that is the age of accountability appointed by God. This means that Bree is now old enough to become Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

At baptism we make a covenant with our Heavenly Father that we are willing to come into His kingdom and keep his commandments.

We covenant to take upon ourselves the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Taking upon us His name is one of the most significant experiences we have in life.

Bree we are so proud of you for following the example of Jesus Christ. Your life will be forever changed because when temptations come if you will listen, the Holy Ghost will remind you that you have promised to remember the Savior and obey the commandments of God. As you listen to those promptings, choose the right (CTR) and strive to obey the will of your Father in Heaven you will always have this priceless gift to help you make good choices.

I hope the feelings you experienced today will have an enduring influence throughout your life. Here are a few special photographs to help you keep this memory alive.
