Make Your Own Dinner Night

It's almost guaranteed...

When kids make their own dinner, they clean their plates!

Before Brandon and I headed out for our Friday night date, the girls announced that they wanted to make dinner for the boys.

Sooo...

I let 'em.

Their menu of choice?

Pigs in a Blanket!

Was it the healthiest meal ever?

Probably not.

But they had an absolute blast making it, and according to them, it was deeeelish!

I quietly added a few carrots to everyone's plate, and just like that...

Everybody was happy.

Sometimes the best family memories aren't made from gourmet meals.

They're made when little hands get to help, proud smiles fill the kitchen, and dinner is served with a generous side of excitement.






Girls, job well done!

That's so cute. I should do that with my girls.

Bayley has been making dinner one night a week. It's not always the dinner I would like to eat...but he loves doing it. So we all enjoy it.

CALI TRIP

Craig Family Vacation Fall 2014 from Lorri Craig on Vimeo . The kids wanted to head to Cali over Fall Break. I had a few other ideas in mind, but the boys had their hearts set on taking their dirt bikes along and trying out some of the tracks in Southern California.  It turned out to be a good idea because they seriously had the time of their lives. Like Father, Like Son... There is nothing like family trips! We bond, laugh and create memories.  We sure did miss our oldest son Nathan.  He put it best when in a recent letter when he said,  "Well right about now you are probably on vacation. It's a bummer we're not all together, but that's alright! I'm over here bringing souls unto Christ, so I win!"   You can read more about his adventures HERE .
