Meet The New Mr. & Mrs. Lysy

Image
The beautiful bride just happens to be my twin sister. Watching her begin this new chapter of her life filled my heart with so much happiness. After everything she'd been through, seeing her so joyful and so deeply loved was a gift in itself. And the camera simply captured what everyone could already see. They make a beautiful couple. My prayer is that the laughter they shared on their wedding day will continue to fill their home for years to come. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Lysy. We couldn't be happier for you. Welcome to the family Will! Best wishes to both of you.

The Toothless Grin

Losing that very first tooth can be a traumatic experience for some children. Not for our little angel. She couldn't have been more excited! To her, this wasn't just a lost tooth. It was proof that she was no longer the baby of the family. At five years old, she officially considered herself a  big girl , especially since she could already see her grown-up tooth beginning to peek through. She spent the entire day grinning from ear to ear, proudly showing everyone the tiny space where her little tooth used to be. But the best part? Waiting for the sun to go down. Tonight was the night the Tooth Fairy would make her magical visit. She carefully tucked her tiny tooth beneath her pillow, hoping the Tooth Fairy would find it and leave behind a little surprise. Along with a very modest amount of money, she also found this special letter waiting for her... Dear Britley,   Wow, what a tooth! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. You have done such a wonderful job taking care of...

Grocery Helper

Image
I asked my little grocery helper to help put groceries away. He didn't seem the least bit bothered by the chore.I couldn't help but laugh. Children have a remarkable way of turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories. A simple chore becomes an adventure. A cardboard box becomes a masterpiece. An ordinary afternoon becomes a story worth remembering. Sometimes I think we spend too much time looking for extraordinary moments... When all along, they've been hiding in the middle of the ordinary. That's one of the reasons I treasure my camera so much. Years from now, these photographs will remind me that the ordinary moments were, in fact, the extraordinary ones. These are the moments that make you stop, smile, and remember just how beautiful everyday life really is.

Brit & Whit

No... These two aren't twins. They're not even sisters. They're simply two great friends who were absolutely thrilled to find out they were spending the whole weekend together. From the moment they woke up until it was time for bed, they were completely inseparable. They spent the weekend... Playing dress-up. Making silly faces. Swinging as high as they could. Dancing like no one was watching. Sharing little "girly" stories. Rolling around in the grass until their tummies hurt from laughing. Just being kids. And my favorite part... They happily let me turn them into little models for an afternoon of pictures. There's something so sweet about childhood friendships. No schedules. No expectations. No complicated conversations. Just imagination, laughter, and the kind of joy that comes so naturally when you're young. I hope, years from now, these two will look back at these pictures and remember the weekend they laughed until their cheeks hurt and made memorie...
