Capturing Birthdays

Birthdays are some of my favorite moments to photograph.

There are so many little memories tucked into a single celebration...the anticipation, the excitement, the candles, the laughter, and those priceless smiles that only seem to appear on a birthday.

These beautiful children have all celebrated birthdays recently, and I had the privilege of capturing a few of those special moments.

Each one has a unique personality that shines through the camera lens, and I love trying to preserve that in a photograph.

One day, the cake will be gone.

The balloons will have deflated.

The presents will be put away.

But the photographs will remain.

Years from now, they'll bring back the joy of a day that passed far too quickly.

That's one of the many reasons I love photography.

It allows us to hold on to the moments that are gone in the blink of an eye, but never forgotten.

Love the pictures! I have a birthday girl that will need pictures in August, I'll be calling! I was also wondering about newborn pics, what do ya think? It's a moment I've never captured professionaly but really want to!

The train tracks and balloons are awesome!! I got some more pettiskirts and need Alexis' pics taken soon (she gets baptized next Saturday!) I'll be calling...(Trying to finish up her dress)

The boys (Wes and Dawson) are off to scout camp.  Mr. B.T.C and Nathan just left on a hunting trip to Utah.  That leaves me and the girls home alone.  Get ready to shop until you drop girls! This is gonna be a fun week! Late night movies, pizza, chocolate cake and popcorn.  Afternoon and late night swimming.  Shopping bags galore. New shades of lipstick.  Yep, that pretty much sums up the week.  Now hide the Nordi bags girls Mr. B.T.C is coming home:)

CALI TRIP

Craig Family Vacation Fall 2014 from Lorri Craig on Vimeo . The kids wanted to head to Cali over Fall Break. I had a few other ideas in mind, but the boys had their hearts set on taking their dirt bikes along and trying out some of the tracks in Southern California.  It turned out to be a good idea because they seriously had the time of their lives. Like Father, Like Son... There is nothing like family trips! We bond, laugh and create memories.  We sure did miss our oldest son Nathan.  He put it best when in a recent letter when he said,  "Well right about now you are probably on vacation. It's a bummer we're not all together, but that's alright! I'm over here bringing souls unto Christ, so I win!"   You can read more about his adventures HERE .
