Happy Thanksgiving

The boys got up early and headed to the soccer field to play football with friends from the ward. I should have been home preparing food but ended up following the boys with my camera in hand. What a bonus that it rained throughout the night and left some nice mud puddles for both the BIG and LITTLE guys to play in. From the pictures you can tell that they had a blast! I left the boys to their fun and headed home where I met my Sister Kelli and began preparing for the FEAST. It wasn't long before the boys worked up an appetite and joined us. After dinner the boys disappeared and it didn't take long before we found them down the street completely covered in mud AGAIN from riding their green machines through every mud pile they could find.

little surprises

We just recently gave our (boxer) dog away so that must be why our little Britley is out lurking around trying to find a "new pet". She was squirming with delight at her newest pet. A "fly" that she caught and named F L Y DO . I had to grab my camera and capture this moment when I heard her singing a song to F L Y DO about how sorry she was for pulling off it's wings. She sang... " I just didn't want you to fly away." A couple days later she asks... "Mom, why are flies scared of you?" sooo I said, "Uhh, I don't know maybe because you pull their wings off?! I would be scared of you too ! By the way those little species spred nasty deseases so let them fly away!" I'm guessing she realized this next pet of hers didn't make such a good pet because she asked, “Mom, why do mosquitoes poke you with their nose?” Although, I like her description better (it sounds less painful) I explained, "It's NOT their little...

pointed, aimed and fired away

As we were getting in the car Saturday night from picking up my camera that had been sent off for repair, Brandon noticed a business card that he had picked up earlier that day (He had taken the boys to a gun shop). He turned to me and said "What would need to occur for you to want to get your own gun and learn to shoot." I looked at him and said "Oh, I already shoot baby!" and did what any good photographer would do... I pointed, aimed, and fired away. I even shot at moving targets and was pretty dead on. That's about as close as I'm ever gonna get to a firing device.
